8 Things You Should Never Do To Your Cat

Cats are so cool to cuddle amongst many other things, but while you are getting intimate with your cat, you should take heed of some very important things that you must never do to your cats. Here in this article are eight of these things:

SMOKING AROUND YOUR CAT

It is widely known as a very bad habit for a person to be around smokers, inhaling the exhaled smoke. However, a human being can leave once he or she notices the smoke, but a cat can not. When a cat inhales secondhand smoke, it is prone to fatal illness including cancer.

LEAVING HER WATER DISH DIRTY

As it is unhealthy for a man to drink water from an exposed, used slimy glass cup, it is also very dangerous for a cat to drink from an exposed, slimy water dish. Bacteria from the cat’s mouth causes germs to settle in the dish in less than a day or two. Hence, you must wash the water dish thoroughly.

LEAVING YOUR CAT’S FAECES UNPACKED

No man will have faeces in the same room with him and be fine, even if it’s his own faeces. Cats are not so different; they can get depressed when they step on their own faeces when they go about their daily businesses. The fact that they don’t smell should be a reason to leave them unpacked.

IGNORING PLAYTIME

Cats may not love to please humans the way dogs do, but that doesn’t make them unlovable or lovers of neglect. Your cats must have some playtime with you or other cats to be at a normal emotional health level.

KEEPING YOUR CAT INDOORS

When you keep your cats indoors, you raise the chance of your cat being depressed. If your cat is an indoor cat, keep the window open enough for it to see the outside world, not enough to slip through though. Take your cats for a walk once in a while and let them feel the fresh breeze and see nature closely.

IGNORING WEIRD LITTER-BOX HABITS

Cats may be used to using their litter box but when they suddenly start peeing at other places in your house, you must take action to show them some love and care. They do this as a sign of stress and depression. When you ignore this habit, the cat may grow angry or depressed.

IGNORING RECCURENT BODY LANGUAGE

Cats communicate easily with humans through their body language. As this may turn out different in many cats the cat owners seem to know the specific body language of their cats. Once a specific recurrent body language is ignored, the cat can flare up injuring both itself and you.

BEING TOO LOUD

Cats are highly sensitive to sound. So, if you are suddenly loud while greeting your cat out of excitement or out of anger when it does something wrong, you may be seen as a threat and it will begin to fear you.

If you want the best for your pet, you must learn what is best for them and abstain from the ones that are threatening to them.
