If you want to get away for a romantic weekend or a family vacation, what do you do with your beloved pets? Many people, including me and my husband, try to vacation somewhere that will allow us to bring along our pets. Wouldn't Rover enjoy a romp in the woods, or lying out on the deck overlooking the beautiful mountainside? The Cabins at Seven Foxes may be just what you are looking for in a nice mountain vacation. The cabins are located in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. Nearby attractions include: Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and Gorges State Park. Biltmore Estate in Asheville is an hour drive from The Seven Foxes. Whether you want to get away for a romantic weekend, or a family vacation, they have a cabin waiting for you. They are all loaded with amenities, including a jacuzzi at Deer Lodge. Cabin sizes range from cozy one bedroom cabins to a deluxe 1200 square foot home overlooking Toxaway Mountain. The Cabins at Seven Foxes all have their own individual charm, but some amenities are available in all of the cabins. These amenities include: one or two bedrooms, each decorated with patchwork quilts and curtains, antiques with a touch of country elegance, hardwood floors and walls, clean linens and paper supplies, and fully equipped kitchens. Each cabin has a picnic table, satellite television, and large porch with a gas grill. Deer Lodge is a nice place for large or extended families. This cabin has a large jacuzzi on the back porch, and a loft master bedroom. The loft has a king sized bed while the main level bedroom has twin beds. With three porches, everyone can sit and admire the breathtaking view of Toxaway Mountain. A chandelier hangs over the dining room table that seats six people. Raccoon Loft is a nice little two bedroom, one bathroom A-frame on a hill, overlooking the mountain and meadow below. The lower level bedroom has a full sized bed, while the upper level loft bedroom has a choice of twin beds or king sized bed. Neatly decorated with a copper pot chandelier and copper buffet table, gives the dining room a rustic look and feel. Roast marshmallows outside at night over this cabin's outdoor fire pit. Bear Cave has two bedrooms and one bath. The living room has all of the comforts of home with a couch, large enough to seat four people, and large wigback chair to relax in while watching satellite television. Various antique paintings adorn the walls of this cabin and a beautiful hand carved coffee table completes the living room. The dining room table seats four. Squirrel Nest is a lovely two bedroom, one shower bathroom cabin with all of the previously mentioned amenities. The dining room table seats four, or enjoy eating outside at the picnic table. Squirrel Nest has two rocking chairs and a small bistro table on the porch. You can sit here and sip your coffee while watching the squirrel feeder. Some folks have actually seen white squirrels that are rumored to be in the area. In the 1940s a pair of true white squirrels (not albinos) escaped from a traveling circus when their cage overturned when they were in this area, and have believed to have reproduced. If you luck up and see one of these squirrels, please be sure to let the owners at Seven Foxes know! Fox Hole is ideal for the couple who want absolute solitude. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one full bath. The couch in the living area is actually a sleeper sofa. This secluded cabin has a private deck with scenic views and two cushioned reading chairs for you to relax in. A mountain getaway may be just the thing you need. Enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings of the mountains while enjoying all of the comforts of home.
