When the actress, Jamie Chung, married Bryan Greenberg in 2015, she wore two wedding gowns to celebrate their union, the first one being a Jonathan Simkhair gown which she wore for her photoshoot.

Their wedding was a three-day event and began with a welcome dinner set in the woods where guests were encouraged to wear costumes as it was Halloween.
Jamie Chung
For the ceremony, Jamie Chand wore a Monique Lhuillier. It had everything. A deep cleavage, a slit along her long legs, and all adorned with lace. She wore a traditional full-length tulle veil with completed her enchanting look.

The couple exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends at El Capitan Canyon in Santa Barbara, California.
Pippa Middleton
She might not have married into the royal family, but Pippa Middleton's wedding was almost as big as her sister Kate's. On the day that she tied the knot with James Matthews, Pippa appeared at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire, England, sporting a beautiful dress with a high neck and an ivory gown.

The exquisite lace only added to the striking silhouette of the gown, making Pippa stand out from the crowd even more on her special day.
Snooki
Snooki – also known as Nicole Polizzi – married her husband in front of 500 guests. She said about her special day, "I was so nervous, I had the worst jitters, and I just had to have a little drink. I was like, 'Where's my alcohol? I need my nerves to calm down."

She added, 'But it was actually the best day of my life so far. I feel like renewing my vows next year just so I can have another wedding and relive that experience because it was so incredible."
Priyanka Chopra
The general public was absolutely thrilled when they saw Priyanka Chopra escorted down the aisle and tie the knot with Nick Jonas. They ended up merging the Christian-Indian backgrounds for their wedding in India, and the Quantico actress charmed us all with some incredible dresses during their weeklong festivities.

This dress was worn at their Hindu ceremony, with Priyanka wearing a lehenga, and the full ankle-length ensemble worn was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherji and sewn together with the help of over 100 workers. Apparently, her dress took over 3,000 hours to make.
Nikki Reed
Seeing as both Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder had key roles in films/TV shows focused around vampires, it makes sense that they were always meant to be together. Nikki starred in the Twilight series while Somerhalder played Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries.

Nikki wore a boho-inspired, Claire Pettibone gown with an open back. Her dress had many stunning pieces, including 3/4 length sleeves, a beautiful neckline, and a long train.
Kate Moss
Back in 2011, Kate Moss tied the knot with Jamie Hince back, many praised her for harkening back to 1920s-inspired glamour. It was John Galliano, one of Dior's most notable designers who created the bias-cut gown.

According to him, he drew inspiration from Zelda Fitzgerald. With gold embroidery and illusion sleeves, we love what he has created! As a finishing touch, Kate honored the Swinging 20s with a charming Juliet cap veil.
Celine Dion
It was only a few years ago that Celine Dion endured the tremendous pain of losing her beloved husband, Rene Angelil. They had been together for most of Celine's life. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that they held a massive wedding outside Montreal's Notre Dame Basilica back in 1994.

Celine also wore a beautiful headpiece that contained 2,000 Austrian crystals, along with a striking 20-foot train, designed by Mirella and Steve Gentile.
Priscilla Presley
This may be one of the oldest dresses on our list, as it was over half a century ago since Priscilla married Elvis Presley. It's only befitting that the King of Rock 'n Roll took his partner all the way to Las Vegas and got married on May 1, 1967.

They held their ceremony at the Aladdin Hotel, which is where they recited their vows. As it turns out, Priscilla designed her own dress! Now isn't that impressive?! Her dress was made with silk chiffon and adorned in seed pearls.
Portia de Rossi
Ellen DeGeneres married another woman she fell in love with that we all know, Portia de Rossi. They got married over a decade ago, and the talk show host wore a suit while Portia would wear a dress. Portia wore an open-back gown paired with a pink skirt. Their wedding was held in an intimate ceremony at their Beverly Hills home.

Zac Posen was the mastermind behind Portia's dress's design, which complements Portia's pink diamond engagement ring and was a massive hit with fans online.
Princess Eugenie
Here's another royal wedding that's been on our radar since Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank. Princess Eugenie donned a custom A-line dress absolutely fit for a princess.

The royal appointed the design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos to bring the idea she had for her dress to life, with a purposely plunging V-back to highlight a scoliosis surgery scar she's had since age 12.
Mariah Carey
While Mariah Carey has had a few relationships since tying the knot with Tommy Mottola back in 1993, we still wanted to take a look back at the notable dress she wore. Her Vera Wang dress was inspired by Princess Diana's classic wedding gown, giving Mariah a billowing skirt, off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, and a 27-foot-long train.

If that wasn't enough, the singer also wore a 10-foot veil and bedazzled tiara to complete her over-the-top look.
Gwen Stefani
The bride, who's known for her incredible sense of style, kept her edge with a custom white and pink wedding gown by Dior during her wedding to Gavin Rossdale. The couple has since divorced, but her ex-husband says: "We had 20 years together and that in itself is pretty incredible."

Her gown was designed by John Galliano of Christian Dior and was made of silk faille with a white bodice that faded into a vibrant, hot-pink skirt and train. An embroidered lace veil finished her look, giving it a soft, romantic touch.
Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt surprised their fans when they eloped to Mexico in 2008. As we would expect these two fame-hungry pop culture personalities had a second, televised wedding (which was shown on The Hills) in Pasadena just a few months later. Heidi wore an elaborate A-line dress embellished with jewels and feathery lace.

Heidi's former best friend and co-star, Lauren Conrad was also in attendance at the wedding amid speculation that she wouldn't come since she and Spencer didn't get along well.
Solange Knowles
For Solange's big day she wore not one, but two caped wedding ensembles-including a jumpsuit! The singer joined in marriage with music video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans in 2014. Arriving at the ceremony by bicycle, she wore an ivory column-style gown with a cape that swept the floor.

She was adorned with gold Jill for Lady Grey bracelets and bright red lipstick. After the ceremony, Solange switched to a Stephane Rolland one-piece, which also boasted a cape, plus a daring neckline.
Keira Knightley
Sometimes, simple is best, Keira Knightley and James Righton decided to have a low-key ceremony with just 11 guests in the South of France. Later on, more guests joined the wedding party at Keira's mum's home for the reception. The actress wore her hair undone and accessorized with a dainty flower crown.

Her Chanel dress is a ballerina-style mini gown that she had worn previously on the red carpet.
Grace Kelly
When it comes to classic, it's difficult to beat the wedding dress Grace Kelly donned when she married Monaco's Prince back in 1956. Helen Rose designed the high-necked, long-sleeve gown. The bodice is made of delicate Brussels lace, adorned with thousands of hand-sewn pearls, while the silk taffeta skirt boasted a lengthy, elegant train.

A round veil completed what is regarded as one of the best celebrity wedding gowns ever, inspiring countless brides, including Kate Middleton.
Karlie Kloss
Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner were married in upstate New York in a stunningly intimate ceremony in the presence of 80 guests. Kloss's bridal gown was a custom creation by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Christian Dior, it featured delicate lace illusion sleeves, rouleaux buttons down the back of the dress, and a waisted belt with an elegant bow.

Karlie shared her photos on her Instagram account, titled "Wild West Weekend" and a wild weekend it was.
Serena Williams
If not for one day only, Serena Willimas left her tennis uniform aside and slipped into a beautiful wedding dress. Serena changes no less than three different outfits on her special day making her groom a very lucky man.

She opened the day in an Alexander McQueen gown (suited for a queen). It was a classic. Layers and layers of fabric turned the lady into a true cinderella. It was pure white, off the shoulders and a laced long cape completed the look.
Serena Williams
Serena's feathered miniskirt by Versace was the perfect grand finale for her fashion exhibition of the day. It was fresh, it was young and it was exactly what she needed.

This look is very unexpected especially when it comes to celebs, and we love seeing those who dare it, and those who wear it. Such an inspiration.
Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn is famously known for the wedding dress she wore in the movie 'Funny Face'. The Givenchy iconic gown is an iconic symbol of the actress even today, years after her passing. The wedding dress Audrey chose for her own personal big day, doesn't fall far from the 'Funny Face' classic.

In 1954 Audrey Hepburn married Mel Ferrer and the Pierre Balmain creation was a win. An outstanding high neck and overwhelming puffy sleaves had so much chick and showed yet again how unique this woman was.
Gabrielle Union
In 2014 actress Gabrielle Union chose a wedding dress that would never go out of date. that in years to come, her photo could not be listed in the "celebs who wished they would have chosen a different wedding dress" list.

Designer Dennis Basso created a heart-shaped strapless dress, making Gabrielle look as if she just stepped out of a fairytale.
Sarah Jessica Parker
When "Sex and the City" star decided it was time to tie the know with Matthew Broderick, the last thing on her mind was a lavishing extravaganza event. She walked into one of her favorite stores and picked out a Morgan Le Fay that wasn't initially designed to be a wedding dress, but for Sarah, it was a perfect wedding dress.

Believe it or not, instead of going with traditional white the dress was the exact opposite. Sarah Jessica Parker got married in a black stunning wedding dress making her event (and the dress) one to remember.
Kate Upton
Model Kate Upton looks absolutely amazing in anything, so you can imagine how stunning she was when she appeared in her wedding gown. She married Justin Verlander, a professional basketball player, in Tuscany, Italy in 2017, and the images we were left with just captured our hearts.

A long-sleeve gown adorned with lace and embroidered floral details alongside the crew-style neck. So elegant, so charming, so beautiful.
Kandi Burruss
if you think of celebrity wedding dresses, you think of Kandi Burruss's gown. This is as celeb as one can get. In 2014 Kandi married Todd Tucker and designer Reco Chapple was responsible for designing the dress.

A mermaid-styled gown, with an ostrich feathered ending, was just part of the details on the gown. Swarovski crystals adorned the gown all over and a long list of jewels (including a tiara) was part of the look, making all the guests' bling bling-bling.
Caroline Kennedy
1986 was the year Caroline Kennedy said I do to Edwin Schlossberg. Although they wanted to keep everything low-key, over 2000 people waited outside of the church where the wedding was held, making the event anything but private. Caroline wanted something to symbolize her father's Irish ancestry, so white shamrocks were embroidered onto the simple, yet beautiful dress.

The organza-made dress was designed by no other than Carolina Herrera, who is known for giving her touch to many first-class ladies. It had short sleeves, and in the 1980s, it was as good a wedding dress could get.
Marilyn Monroe
We were thinking about which wedding we should focus on (out of the three) and then decided to focus only on the first one which is when Marilyn Monroe wore a traditional wedding dress (in the other two the outfits she chose were not exactly acceptable wedding gowns). She was only 16 when she got married for the first time, and the gown she wore suited the dreamy wedding only a 16 year girl could dream of.

These were the days when Marilyn was a brunette, when her appearance was modest, and when she was mostly known to all as Norma Jean.
Chelsea Clinton
Chelsea Clinton chose a strapless dress to walk down the aisle with on July 31st, 2010. Layers of ruffled silk organza created the magnificent gown which was all decorated, in style, we must add, giving the exact amount of glam to the dress.

A silver, diamond-decorated waistbelt adorned the gown. Elegant small silver earrings and a matching tennis bracelet were added, forming a first lady (or first daughter) look, that certainly deserves to be on our list.
Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth celebrated her 18th birthday by marrying Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, in 1950. She will end up walking down the aisle, seven more times, with six different men, as she married Richard Burton twice. Elizabeth Taylor's first wedding dress was designed by Helen Rose, the same designer who created Grace Kelly's iconic gown.

Long sleeves, a full skirt, and an off-the-shoulder neckline are some of the features of this dress, that became a timeless classic. Elizabeth looks absolutely stunning, as she did throughout her entire life.
Kelly Clarkson
Walland, Tennessee is where Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock decided to tie the knot in October 2013. Clarkson wanted a modest and quiet wedding so they eloped. Now, having a modest wedding doesn't necessarily mean having a modest dress.

Kelly Clarkson wore an exquisite gown — long-sleeved and laced from top to bottom. It draped down, complementing her form, perfectly accompanying the delicate silver headpiece.
Evelyn Lozada
Not all marriages last forever, and so did (or didn't) Evelyn Lozada's marriage to Chad Johnson. The bride had no less than three outfits for the event, each more stunning than the other. Her walking down the aisle gown was stunning, no less than the bride herself.

Evelyn Lozada shone in her flared skirt and her glowing headpiece. The veil, which was even longer than floor-length, turned her into a true Cinderella, and the strapless design made her look tall, prestigious, and astonishing.
Lucille Ball
We haven't heard of any other bride, celebrity or not, that wore a fur coat and matching hat on their wedding day. Lucille Ball is the first, and probably the last. Now, the couple got married twice so she had a chance to wear a traditional dress too.

Alongside her white tea-length dress, Lucille Ball had a bowtie wrapped around her shoulders, her hands were adorned with white gloves and a floral headpiece completed the look. Thank god she was wise enough to get married twice. Don't think her fur coat wedding dress would have been sufficient for this list.
Michelle Obama
Not everything was bad fashionwise in the 1990s. In 1992, Michelle Obama and former president Barak Obama married in Chicago. She wore a traditional wedding dress with puffed shoulders, classic white almost flat shoes (don't blame her), and a slightly over-volumed veil (the 1990s remember). Michell Obama wore delicate pearl earrings that gave her an elegant look.

If only she would have known that a few years later she will be named the First Lady of the free world. Luckily the photos of her special day are not too embarrassing, and she shows that even before becoming lady number one, she had style, grace, and class.
Fantasia
The winner of American Idol, Fantasia, married her sweetheart, Kendall Taylor, in 2015. Just like her great voice, her two wedding dresses were grand and magnificent too. Fantasia started her special day with a traditional white gown, decorated with long floral lacy sleeves.

This dress was classic, pure white, and turned Fantasia into a tall, elegant, beautiful bride. She held a bright red bouquet, unlike most brides who prefer to go with the traditional white or ivory.
Fantasia
Fantasia wore a unique and special gown for the second part of her wedding. She changed into a black strapless dress, adorned with black feathers and silver embellishments.

The entire wedding theme was anything will go as long as it's black, white, and red so the black dress was surely part of the play. Themes do tend to work and the wedding was exceptional.
Ciara
The one and only Peter Dundas from the design house of Roberto Cavalli was chosen to stamp his mark on Ciara's wedding dress. Dundas wasn't shy when designing the dress and delivered a gown made in heaven. Embroidery featuring elements from nature adorned the dress, while silky layers of tulle and lace draped down her body.

Ciara's overlook was classic yet dramatic, traditional, and daring at the same time. Something that only great designers from great houses can deliver.
Emmy Rossum
Born Emmanuelle Grey, Emmy Rossum has worn several wedding dresses throughout her acting career. Many of those dresses were designed by Carolina Herrera so it was only natural that on the star's real big day, Carolina Herrera would be the one to design the dress Rossum would walk down the aisle in.

The wedding took place in New York and her dreamy dress was stunning. An off-the-shoulder ivory dress, with a floor-length skirt and a floral lacy belt. Stunning.
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen chose Lake Como, Italy, as the perfect place for her wedding (don't blame her, can't get more magical than an Italian scenery wedding). Now, when concerning Victoria's Secret models, there is no surprise in the outcome.

For the wedding ceremony, Teigen wore a gown made for a fairytale princess. The layers of tulle wrapped around her created an explosion of beauty and made all of the wedding guests wait excitedly for the next two dresses that were about to come.
Julianne Hough
For Julianne Hough, only Marchesa will do. Hough went for a timeless, never slagged on social media, always up to date, strapless pure white gown. Marchesa, known for being the name behind many celeb wedding dresses such as Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lopez, only enhanced Julianne's beauty, with a classic and elegant look.

For the second part of the big day, Julianne let her hair loose and came out in a daring (and stunning) outfit. A crystal-beaded bodysuit that left the guests (and ourselves) gobsmacked by how much glam and chick one woman can actually have.
Queen Elizabeth II
Just minutes after the end of the second world war, Queen Elizabeth II married a true king, Prince Philip. Over 10,000 pearls decorated the dress which was made from ivory satin and embroider with tulle.

An interesting fact: as Queen Elizabeth had to pay for the dress out of her own money (this was not long after WWII) she used ration coupons she collected to pay for the dress. Can't get any nobler than that.
Idina Menzel
Disney star Idina Menzel married her prince charming in 2016. The wedding took place at their home as both the bride and groom wanted a modest and quiet event. And just like any other thing about this star, her dress too was a knockout.

Off the shoulder and with a floral lace pattern that adorned the entire dress, transforming the star into a real queen. So, a private wedding at home, a gorgeous dress, and one prince charming. This wedding was for sure, anything but frozen.
Barbara Bush
A conservative dress for a conservative lady. Barbara Bush, the wife of former president George H.W. Bush, tied the knot with her husband in New York in 1945. And like many things in her family, her dress too was modest, traditional, classic, and elegant.

At 18 years old, the would-be-first lady had impeccable taste. Also, having your new husband wear his pilot's uniform by your side is a fantastic accessory.
Olivia Palermo
Let's talk about unique wedding dresses. Carolina Herrera has shown off, yet again, her talent and magic when it comes to creating the most interesting part of the event. The dress. If you only get a glimpse of the top part of Olivia's wedding gown you would have thought that she went boring for the day, but passing the waistline, the magic is revealed.

She wore a cream-colored plain sweater with a pair of shorts and a white tulle skirt on top. A floral design adorned the tulle and a pair of blue hills that couldn't be missed. A true Carry Bradshaw fiesta.
Gwyneth Paltrow
In 2018 Gwyneth Paltrow married Brad Falchuk in the privacy of their Hampton home. Pierpaolo Piccioli, a Valentino ambassador, was the mind behind the masterpiece Gwyneth wore. The dress was lace from top to bottom with an almost see-through texture to the fabric. It has capped sleeves which gave the gown a real Cinderella touch, and a full-length veil for walking down the aisle.

Gwyneth Paltrow is living proof that even when sticking to simple elements and simple designs, it's the beauty that's within, that makes the dress what it is.
Lily Allen
In September 2020, Lily Allen married actor David Habour. They had a small but lovely ceremony. After the ceremony, the happy new family (including Lily's daughters from way before the wedding), went to have their wedding feast in an In-N-Out burger joint. Allen's dress was not the traditional wedding gown.

It was indeed white, but only mini in length, which is not a sight you see every day on wedding dresses. The dress was a Christian Dior which was accompanied by a pair of Miu Miu shoes.
Diana, Princess of Wales
We can't go through celeb wedding gowns without mentioning a true princess. In 1981, the entire world was either standing outside Buckingham palace or glued to the television screens, watching Princess Diana, marrying Prince Charles, now King Charles III, and wearing an astonishing dress that was never seen before.

David and Elizabeth Emanuel were responsible for turning Diana into the beautiful bride she was, and they did it with a dress worth more than $200,000. 10,000 pearls and embroidered flowers decorated the ivory silky dress, and the grand finale was the train. 25 feet long, making it the longest one in royal wedding history.
Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek couldn't choose a better location or a better date for her wedding. She married Francois-Henri Pinault in Venice, Italy, on Valentine's day. Slama wore a beautiful ball gown, with silver embroidering on the top part of the dress. A silky ivory skirt, blown up just in the right size, transformed Slama into a princess, who fitted in perfectly with the Venician on-the-canal house.

The wedding consisted of a list of celebs from the entire entertainment industry — music, movies, and fashion joined the celebration that took place for a full two days.
Chiara Ferragni
Stunning Chiara Ferragni married X factor judge (and singer), Fedez, in Italy in 2018. The bride couldn't do with just one dress, but two haute couture gowns, labeled by Dior were one of the wedding's highlights. Chiara walked down the aisle in a jumpsuit, that was crochet and featured a high-neck and a long-sleeve design.

Apparently, a crochet dress was traditionally worn in southern Italy which emphasized the female tradition of the region. What can we say, we are happy the tradition was kept. Chiara's dress was absolutely stunning, and so was she herself.
Emma Thompson
Emma Thompson married Kenneth Branagh in the late 1980s. Every detail about this dress was abnormal, different, and so unexpected from a wedding dress. Thompson wore a knee-length multicolored dress, with sleeves (that have seen better days), and a matching feathered hat.

Now, if we were presented with this look, in our days, we would probably have a few things to say, but as this incident took place in the 1980s when fashion wasn't exactly at its peak, what can we say — it worked. Emma Thompson looked great!
Princess Margaret
In 1960, Princess Margaret's wedding gown was stylish, innovative, and absolutely stunning. Margret was always considered to be the more daring sister of the royal family, and it was expressed in the dress she chose too. It was a sleeveless white gown with layers of fabric only suited for a real princess.

She added a shoulder laces top for the ceremony for a more modest look which adorned her dress and only added to it.
Brigitte Bardot
When you say Brigitte Bardot you say fiar, glamour, and a beautiful wedding dress. Brigitte Bardot married Roger Vadim in 1953 and she wore a unique gown for her big special day.

It resembled more of an Edwardian-designed dress with a high collar, muff, and veil designed by Madame Ogive. The dress was hand-sewn.
Princess Anne
Princess Anne has never been known as a classic Princess, especially when it comes to the clothes she wears. If she was obliged into wearing a dress it had to be her way or no way.

For her special day that was held almost 50 years ago, she wore an elegant gown designed by Maureen Baker, the chief designer for the ready-to-wear label. It had beautiful deep leaves that gave the relatively plain dress her own personal touch. It was stunning.
Zara Phillips
Zara Philps, daughter of Princess Anne, wore a silk and satin ivory gown. It had an empire waist and a bell-shaped skirt that flattered her body. Unlike most gowns, Zara's dress had pockets sewed in so for sure it was unique.

She had a traditional tulle veil that covered her tiara, also traditionally worn by royal brides. It was designed by "The White Room" which works very closely with the royal family.
Jackie (Bouvier) Kennedy
Jackie Bouvier's wedding gown is one to remember. Ann Lowe, the African-American fashion designer, created this masterpiece. It was ivory silk, off the shoulders, and with a classic round skirt.

She wore her grandmother's lace veil which was attached to a tiara. The dress was made in under eight days which is a phenomenon in its own right.
Jackie Kennedy
Jackie was a fashion influencer. If she wore something it was the next bestseller. Her second wedding dress was a knee-length ivory dress with a turtle neck and full-length sleeves, a design that we have seen come back years later.

Valentino and no other designed the dress which is considered one of his best designs even today. For sure, Jackie's choice of dress was no less than an icon.
Linda Eastman McCartney
We can't tell you much about the dress Linda Eastman wore but we can tell you a lot about the yellow coat that covered it. We know she had a white fawn dress but unfortunately, no images documented it.

Linda was obviously not the kind of bride to brag about her big day's dress as she was more concerned about the music that would be played.
Emily Ratajkowski
It was expected from someone like Emily Ratajkowski to take advantage of her wedding day and adorn herself with the most glamorous gown she could find but no. She didn't wear a dress, and she didn't even wear white. Ratajkowski wore a mustard-colored suit purchased in... Zara.

She explained this by saying the white symbolizes pureness and she was anything but pure. She was a woman with experience and history behind her. Fair enough.
Sarah Ferguson
If you're going to marry a prince, you have got to have a real princess gown. Sara Ferguson, who was a princess at one point in her life, took it all the way. Heavey beading draped down the long ivory dress which included symbols of hearts, anchors, and titles.

Her veil was indeed influenced by Lady Diana's veil who was married just four years before. It had both of the couple's initials sewn into it in silver beads.
