After leaving “Below Deck” after just one season, Matt Burns returned to his roots in Canada, where he’s been cooking up a storm as a private chef. While he’s kept a low profile since leaving the show, he occasionally pops up on social media to show off his latest culinary creations.
With his talent for creating mouth-watering dishes, it’s no surprise that he’s thriving in the private chef world. Fans of the show will surely miss his easy-going personality and his ability to whip up meals under pressure, but it’s great to see him doing what he loves. Here’s hoping that we get to taste his food someday!
Bruno Duarte — Now
After his time on “Below Deck,” Bruno Duarte continued to make waves in the yachting industry. He quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed as the chief steward of the Skyfall UK in just two years, where he occasionally stepped into the kitchen as well, advancing his culinary career.
He continued to excel on the sea, working as a steward and purser on the M/Y Arados and then moving on to join the M/Y Skyra as a chief steward and purser. It's clear that Bruno has a passion for providing top-notch service and making guests feel at home on the high seas. We can't wait to see where his career takes him next!
Matt Burns was a chef on “Below Deck" season 5, and he quickly became known for his exceptional culinary skills and outgoing personality. His cooking was always top-notch, and he was never afraid to try new and innovative dishes. Matt was also known for his fun-loving and positive attitude, which made him a hit with both the crew and the viewers.
He is considered the franchise's "sanest chef," an impressive feat considering the tumultuous temperaments yacht chefs have become known for — especially those on the show. Though we don't blame them! The galley truly seems like the most stressful place to be. Cheers to Matt, who managed to stay level-headed and consistently impressed everyone with his delicious and beautiful dishes.
Rocky Dakota was a true firecracker during her time on “Below Deck.” Her infectious energy was both loved and loathed by those around her, but there was never a dull moment when Rocky was on screen. She had a bit of a ~rocky~ start to the season, getting into a spat with chief stew Kate Chastain.
But she managed to turn things around and formed close bonds with some of her fellow crewmates, including deckhand Emilie and bosun Eddie. Who can forget the time she went for an impromptu swim off the yacht, hoping to get fired? Since leaving the show, Rocky has stayed out of the spotlight, but her drama-filled moments on “Below Deck” will always be remembered.
Rocky Dakota — Now
After leaving "Below Deck," Rocky Dakota has been living her best life on the beautiful island of Hawaii. She's been riding the waves as a surfer, diving into the ocean as a competitive national diver, and whipping up delicious meals as a cook — all things she had dreamed of doing years before.
Rocky also found love and has been exploring the great outdoors together with her beau. Though she went through a heartbreaking tragedy with the loss of her sister in 2017, Rocky has been using her platform to help others who have experienced similar situations. It seems like Rocky has found happiness away from the reality TV world — we don't see her coming back to it anytime soon.
